For the last 15 years, Meghan has helped bring experiences to life in some of the most exciting industries – as an operations manager on the frontlines of hospitality; as an account executive at a small-but-mighty nonprofit; and ultimately, as a development writer in higher education.
In 2020, she blended passion with purpose by launching Onword Communications. Now, she uses her love of storytelling to help nonprofit organizations find, share, and tell the stories that will inspire their audiences to invest in meaningful change.
Liz has more than 10 years of social media strategy, digital fundraising, and content marketing experience across higher education, nonprofit, and agency sectors.
In her previous roles, Liz led social media and digital fundraising strategy for the University of Rochester's advancement team and spearheaded social strategy and activation for Fortune 500 companies including Ford Motor Company, Pfizer, and DuPont. In addition, she has collaborated with annual giving teams at Williams College and Wayne State University, among others.
A data die-hard, reflected in her MBA with a concentration in digital business analytics, Liz grounds our storytelling efforts by infusing just the right dose of strategy and science into social media storytelling and digital fundraising.
Krista has built a career in the trenches of nonprofit management and small business entrepreneurship, cultivating the growth of fundraising and marketing initiatives for more than a decade.
She has lent her talents to the University of Rochester, Foodlink, NAMI Rochester, and now, leads Spark Content. Krista’s mission-minded approach to fundraising, paired with her data-driven outlook on impact, brings the perfect balance of head and heart to solicitations, appeals, and fundraising storytelling. In her spare time, she’s growing her first passion project, Spirit + Thread Crochet (and its measly 30,000+ Instagram followers)!
A professional theater director and arts administrator, Kelly draws on her experience in dramatic storytelling to help nonprofits engage their audiences.
Using an artful balance of emotion and precision, she creates inspiring content that brings an organization’s authentic story to life.
Kelly has directed at theaters across the country and is a longtime company artist and educator with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts. She has served as an instructor in dramatic literature and public speaking at Boston University and as a writing tutor in the Wellesley College Writing Program. Based in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, she serves as a Program Director at Community Access to the Arts.
David is the glue that holds the Onword team together, lending his skills and insights to internal operations as administrative coordinator and project manager.
